In compliance with the guidelines and procedures established by the Brazilian Central Bank ("BACEN"), Banco BTG Pactual S.A. ("Bank") monthly submits, to the said regulatory body, the detailed information on every credit operation that it has with its clients. In line with the same procedure implemented by other financial institutions in Brazil, the transparency of credit operations leads to a greater control and security for the national credit system, mutually benefiting the parties involved in operations in which the "credit risk" is a relevant issue.
For monitoring purposes, these data are reported by the Bank in BACEN’s own platform, known as the Credit Information System (SCR), which includes operations related to loans, advances, financing, co-obligations, debt securities, receivables, among other instruments that have the same characteristics as credit operations. The report represents the opening of the Bank’s credit portfolio with BACEN, reinforces its mechanisms of banking supervision and makes SCR’s information available to financial institutions that are part of the system. To do so, it is necessary to have a prior search authorization from the individual.
It should be clarified that the decision on the concession or not of new credit operations to clients is taken exclusively by the Bank, in accordance with its internal policies, regardless of any information in the SCR concerning the client.
The information in the SCR is submitted in accordance with the accounting criteria and specific methodology established by BACEN.
Further information regarding the SCR can be found on the following page of BACEN or through our ombudsman:
